Lents Landing Wall-Raising of Four Homes, including Youth United and Thrivent
Join us at our Lents Landing site in March as we raise the first walls of four new homes. This event will celebrate the beginning of construction on our Youth United home that is completely fundraised and built by young people aged 16 to 25. The steering committee, consisting of high school and college students, have been planning and fundraising since the fall of 2009 and are excited to see their hard work get to this important stage.
This event will also celebrate the sixth home at our affiliate that has been graciously sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans through their national alliance with Habitat for Humanity International. Lutheran congregations and Thrivent Financial members are invited to get involved with this specialty build by calling Marianne McClure at 503-287-9529 x14.
Finally, we are celebrating the two homes that are sponsored by the Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Habitat’s Carpenter’s Club of monthly and individual donors.
