Our Families
The Kibret Family
Adina is a single mother with four sons: Yonase, 14, Neiyu, 7, Amanuel, 6, and Brook, 2. Her family moved into Lents Landing in January. She has worked as a market sales associate at a national thrift store for close to five years. She used to live in subsidized housing and was concerned about the street fights in the neighborhood. She is excited that she is now a homeowner and part of a community where her boys will thrive. Her dream is to have her boys receive a good education, and she believes living in a stable home will help them succeed in school and life.
Steve Messinetti has over 20 years of experience working with Habitat for Humanity. Prior to becoming President and CEO of the local affiliate, he worked for Habitat for Humanity International. He is currently board president of Habitat for Humanity of Oregon and a PDC appointed member of the Lents Urban Renewal Advisory Council. In 2009, Steve was named one of the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
