Our Families
The Mohamed Family
Abdiasis Mohamed lives with her husband, Noorto Rage, and three children Safia 3, Mohamed 1, and a new baby in an unsafe neighborhood. They all live in a single bedroom apartment, sharing one closet. They all share a bathroom with one drawer for their toiletries and cleaning supplies. Their bathroom ceiling leaks, leaving mildew to spread and standing water on the floor, which causes them to slip on occasion. The kitchen sink leaks, making everything underneath the sink contaminated. They also have an infestation of ants and cockroaches, although their landlord has consistently avoided them after being approached about any situation. They tried sprays to poison the pests, however, they discontinued because they were worried for their children’s health.
The Mohamed family hopes to live in a clean house and a stable environment, while maintaining a healthy life.
