Habitat’s President and CEO
Steve Messinetti
Steve Messinetti has over 20 years of experience working with Habitat for Humanity. Prior to becoming President and CEO of the local affiliate, he worked for Habitat for Humanity International. He is currently board president of Habitat for Humanity of Oregon and a PDC appointed member of the Lents Urban Renewal Advisory Council. In 2009, Steve was named one of the Portland Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.

Our Families
The Shcherbakov Family
Oleg and Mariya Shcherbakov live with their three children Anna, 5, Daniel 2, and David, 3 months. Oleg supports his whole family by working for a window company. They live in an old drafty two-bedroom apartment without much space. Their apartment takes a lot of energy to heat, plaster falls down off walls because the building is old, and there is a small hole in the ceiling. The Shcherbakov family is excited to move into a new Habitat home that can retain heat, yet still being spacious enough for themselves along with their three children.
