Annual Fundraising Breakfast
A powerful and inspiring opportunity to find out more about Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East. Enjoy a free breakfast during the one-hour program, which includes:
- An inspiring keynote from Natosha Reid Rice, Associate Pastor at the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, the pastoral home of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Rice also serves as the Associate General Counsel for Real Estate and Finance at Habitat for Humanity International.
- A moving documentary that takes you into the life of a local family whose life will be forever changed through homeownership.
- An update on Habitat for Humanity’s progress and vision from President & CEO, Steve Messinetti.
- An inspiring testimonial from a family whose life has been dramatically improved by Habitat for Humanity.

Funds raised at the breakfast will be used to build and repair homes to create affordable homeownership opportunities for local, hardworking families in the Portland Metro area. Habitat plans to build 22 homes this year and repair 35 more.
The Oregon Convention Center provides a limited number of spaces in their underground parking garage. The rate to park is $7 and can be accessed via First Avenue. In addition, there is street parking with coin-operated meters nearby. The OCC is easily accessible by utilizing public transportation. The Portland Streetcar Central Loop and TriMet Bus Line #6 both stop right outside the center on NE Martin Luther King (MLK) Blvd. The blue, red and green MAX light rail lines all stop at the OCC at the intersection of NE MLK Blvd. and NE Holladay Street.
