Portland Pride Build Ramps Up Efforts on Third GLBT Built Home

Portland Pride Build built it’s first two homes for the Jimenez family at Lents Landing in 2010 and for the Keith family at Rivergate Commons in north Portland in 2011. Their third home is currently under construction at Habitat’s SE 171st and Division Street site for the Thang family and is a part of one of the largest Habitat builds in the state.
“We are proud to bring the GLBT community together in Portland to do something that has long term positive effects,”said Brett Hulstrom, chair of the Portland Pride Build committee. “We love proving that diversity can help better our community and we’re looking forward handing over the keys to the front door to another Habitat family! That really is the best part!”
Interested in supporting the Portland Pride Build? Habitat supporters and community members from all walks of life are invited to march with the Portland Pride Build in the 2012 Pride Northwest parade through downtown Portland.
