Post-Purchase Education

Classes are scheduled year-round for current Habitat homeowners, usually on the 2nd Saturday of every month, at no cost. Please contact our Homeownership Department at 503-287-9529, or complete the class interest form below.

Each class requires registration. Space is limited, please register in advance.

If you register for a class and can’t make it, please call the Homeownership Department to cancel your registration. If Habitat cancels a class for any reason (e.g. inclement weather), we will make every effort to do so by phone at least a day in advance.

Protecting Your Assets
Come learn from an insurance expert about how your auto, home, health, and life insurance policies can protect you and your assets.

Jump Start Your Finances in 2017
This class will help you create a realistic budget and look for ways to decrease spending. RSVP is required. $25 Gift Card for each household in attendance, and breakfast will be served.

Find out how to safeguard your finances and health care wishes through estate planning. Receive up-to-date knowledge about, Wills, Living Trusts, Health Care Documents, Issues Regarding Guardianship, Conservatorship, Power of Attorney and How to Avoid Probate.

Seed to Supper
This free beginning gardening course teaches you need to start a garden and grow your own food on a budget.
