Victoria Cottages

This eight-home project in Rockwood is nearing completion. Volunteers in May can expect to work on interior finish work, painting and landscaping.

N Michigan

This duplex in north Portland is fully framed and dried-in. Volunteers in May can expect to work on installing house wrap, siding, trim and blocking. These homes are being built in partnership with Portland YouthBuilders.

SE 171st & Division

Construction of the first fifteen units for this 45-home project is underway. Volunteers in May can expect to work on site development and framing. This site will be built over the two years and will be the largest Habitat build in Oregon!

Attend an Orientation

Want to know more before you volunteer? Attend a Habitat orientation that is offered once a month. Check out our event calendar to see when we will hold the next training.

Please join us to make the dream of homeownership a reality for deserving families in the Portland/Metro East area. Volunteer opportunities take place on and off the construction site, and are available for individuals, corporate groups, faith groups, student and youth groups, and AmeriCorps members.

Volunteer Spotlight: Gloria Halper

Volunteer Spotlight - Gloria Halper In 2005, an email appeared in Gloria Halper’s (on right) inbox that read, Travel to Guatemala with Habitat for Humanity. After traveling to Guatemala and then Bolivia to build houses, Gloria decided to get involved with Habitat for Humanity at the local level and looked into joining Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East’s Women Build.
