Gifts That Build
This year give and get Gifts that Build: gifts of kindness that will help build a Habitat for Humanity home in partnership with a local family.
Your gift recipient will receive a specially designed greeting card of your choice, a commemorative ornament and the joy of knowing that because of them, a hardworking family will soon have a decent home of their own.
Place your gift online or by printing a form and mailing in your order to the Habitat office. We will take care of the rest by sending your recipient their ornament and card with the gift list item noted inside.
Remember – no matter how much shopping you do, you’ll never find a neck tie or flat-screen TV that is tax-deductible!
Corporate & Workplace Giving
Does your office “adopt” a family? How about decorating your tree with items that their donation could buy? For example, create ornaments with photos of a box of nails ($10) or a can of paint ($25) or a toilet ($50) or a kitchen sink ($100)? Set a group goal of buying a furnace ($500) or a lumber package ($1000) or even an entire room ($5000). Add a decoration to the tree with your coworker’s name on it for each contribution.
Does your office do a gift exchange? How about wrapping measuring tape or level (something small) with a donation in the recipient’s name to Habitat for Humanity? It will fit in almost any limit!
Gifts that Build at Church
Do you have a holiday gift fair? Are you able to have a booth in the lobby before or after church? Habitat will provide cards, ornaments, and instructions for your booth. When you are finished with your fundraiser, simply turn in the donations and any leftovers. To schedule materials for a booth, contact Cassie Punnett at 503.287.9529 x40.
