Annual Fundraising Breakfast
A powerful and inspiring opportunity to find out more about Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East. Enjoy a free breakfast during the one-hour program, which includes:
- An inspiring keynote from Cheryl Strayed, author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir WILD, the New York Times bestsellers TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS and BRAVE ENOUGH, and the novel TORCH. Her books have been translated into forty languages around the world. WILD was chosen by Oprah Winfrey as her first selection for Oprah’s Book Club 2.0.
- A moving documentary that takes you into the life of a local family whose life will be forever changed through homeownership.
- An update on Habitat for Humanity’s progress and vision from President & CEO, Steve Messinetti.
- An inspiring testimonial from a family whose life has been dramatically improved by Habitat for Humanity.

Funds raised at the breakfast will be used to build and repair homes to create affordable homeownership opportunities for local, hardworking families in the Portland Metro area. Habitat plans to break ground on 50 homes and repair 30 more.
