If you find yourself scheduled to volunteer on a day where the weather prevents safety, please read the following information.

As a general rule, if Portland Public Schools are closed then Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East’s  build sites are closed. If inclement weather occurs on a Saturday or during a school holiday the below will go into effect.

In the event of inclement or hazardous conditions which, in the judgment of the affiliate, require the closing of construction sites, Habitat for Humanity will email and call volunteers scheduled to work no later than 7:30 a.m. A notice will also be posted on our website.

In all cases, please use your personal discretion to determine if it is safe for you to leave your home and travel to site.
