As we dive into a new year of building stability and equity in our community, I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude. 2014 brought many accomplishments, including selling 36 homes to local, hardworking families, as well as repairing 16 homes in partnership with low-income families that were already homeowners!

And the only reason we were able to accomplish this was because of the incredible generosity from our community.

I am continually impressed and in awe of the thousands of Portlanders who volunteered and donated to Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East  this past year.  It is because of you that we are able to do the work we do.

So, today, as this new year is upon us, I want to take a minute to say thank you.  Thank you for your hours of swinging hammers.  Thank you for the generous donations of your hard earned dollars.  And  thank you for  your commitment to making our city a wonderful place to live.

All the best this new year!
